Battery Bracket?
Battery Bracket?
What's up Guys? Can anybody help me out? The battery died on our 05 maxima. My wife had the car, got it jumped, and took it to Auto Zone. Well, she said that they lost something form the bracket(maybe a some kind of rod), so they just installed the battery without it. I took it in for an oil change and the dealership wants to charge me $34, I'm assuming for the whole bracket kit(It's showing 5 parts). Does anyone know where I can find a pic of the bracket that holds the battery, so that I can see what I'm missing, or another way of securing my battery?
The Autozone is about 45min away, she was visiting her mom. She will be going back next week to see what they can do to compensate. They told her that it was no big deal. It may not be a big deal to them, but to me it is annoying that they do something half ***! I came here to get some input from you guys.
Thanks

The battery bracket part my Auto Zone man accidentally dropped down through the engine compartment several times was one of the two silver vertical rods, which are threaded on the upper end. If you have a tap and dye set, you could probably whip one of these out, but saving $34 would probably not be worth all that effort.
I assume he did look carefully and determine the missing part was not lodged somewhere in the lower area of the engine compartment? Mine was.
Deus - That is one clean engine compartment. I would have no trouble eating off your battery. But then you'd probably end up with ham and eggs all over your solenoid . . .
