Hilbe I've worked on alot of old cars and for tough and rusty bolts and nuts try tri-flow penatrating spray it actually has a mild acid that eats the rust on the threads to make it easy to get the bolts out. Let it soak about 15-20 mins . It worked on my 69 olds convt 442

Guys my max is an '06. You think if I just spray some WD-40 on there 30min before installation I'll be ok?

No. Only reason I got one is because I don't have a O2 sensor connected yet. I'm getting one tonight (hopefully) and will put it in tomorrow.

Cattman is looking into this... but i know it doesnt affect performance dan, i have been driving on this now for 4 days... it a very decent amount quicker... up top mostly!!!

We will here from brian soon... im sure if these ARE defective, he will issue a sawp/refund or SOMETHING...

As long as i got some nice +hp ... im happy and dont mind the hiss/swoosh.... like i have said a few times already... ITS BETTER THAN THE DAMN RATTLING NOISE I HAD B4!!!!!

lol, you had to put that in there didn't you?!

As long as it's not an extremely annoying sound or doesn't effect the function of it, then I will be alright with it! Install tomorrow

O2 sensor now replaced. I'm good to go. I did an ECU reset too to clear my SES due to not having the sensor in for 3 days. Hopefully the ECU learns the Y-Pipe and stuff I have on now.

I'm not 100% sure I got the sensor on tight enough. I tightened down as tight as I could go, but there is still a millimeter gap or so it might be able to go.

Is anyone else's O2 sensor really close to touching the oil pan? Any concerns there?

hmmm not to bash Brian because he's a real cool guy that knows his stuff, but why make a minor change from the prototype and not test it again before selling it?

OH dude, I do not like that sound at all.

Hey Hilbe, keep me posted on the ECU reset. I'm curious to see any differences as I've been considering it myself lately with the latest few upgrades.

oooo, I could have sworn I saw him type somewhere stating that the flex sections were 6 inches and then 4 inches, or visa versa

Glad to hear that you’re pleased with the performance, but also concerned about the sound. I haven’t heard it do this, but all of our hands-on testing here in Tucson was done with the prototype. The proto was identical to the production version in almost all respects, BUT, I increased the flex section length from 4” to 6” to make it more flexible – the 4” was too stiff. Assuming that this sound is attributable to the flex sections, apparently when we doubled the length of the flex (the flex dimension includes two 1” end caps, so a 4” flex section has 2” of flexible area, a 6” has 4”, etc.) the result was a sound we didn’t hear before.

that was the post ...

yeah I don't think the final design was tested w/ the longer flex section.
