Sorry not sure about the CVT...
no disrespect to the 335, just they are the bench mark for turbo performance, I have been lurking on several bimmer boards and a slightly modded 335 can pull away from the new M5 which is ridiculous

anyways goodluck with this everything and I'll be watching every post

Did I miss the pictures of the actual front mount on the Altima, or were there none posted?

Glad you're steppin' up Chern. Just like you did with the HS headers. It would be nice if you added the Kinetix IM, spacers, and L-spec tune to the mix.

I guarantee you we're gonna generate more power at low psi(5-8) than any other Gen. Haters beware; we're comin'!

I only wish the torque curve was more linear and higher. I want 300+lb/ft of torque throughout the entire powerband.

My current IM is ported and polished and I already have the IM spacers installed!!! Turbo Tim recommends I remove my APEXi and just use the boost controller and retard my timing 2 degrees...

For those of us that have the full spec TS flash, we will have to go back to stock. $500 down the drain unless the ECU is sold to another 6th gener. Might be best to slow down on perfomance mods until this turbo thing is complete.

What are all the functions of the boost controller???

A manual boost controller is placed in the path of the waste-gate's sensor. The controller bleeds off some of the pressure in the line so that the pressure measured at the waste gate is lower than actual. This tricks the waste gate into staying closed longer than usual so a higher level of boost is reached.

Cool so does it have some of the monitoring capabilities that your SAFC 2 had?

380-425whp in a stock auto tranny is gonna be crazy to see. Chern, I hope your shop "completes" this kit for us so when it's my turn all I wanna have to do is order it, have it shipped to TX and have someone local install it. Detail instructions will be helpful also.

The only thing left to decide is what type of blow off I want; HKS SSQ's whistle+swoosh or Tial's shwiiiissh...

At this time I'm not 100% sure, this will be my first Turboed car, I'm guessing I'll be relying more on gauges now...

Since most of the parts bolt up and only minimum fabrication of piping is necessary, the shop told me 5 days to complete!!! My goal is first track run in the 3rd/4th week of October if everything goes as planned...

Yes, currently est 252-256whp with the headers, etc... And it was 90+ degrees with max humidity during this test. Unfortunately I never got another Dyno run in with the new IM spacers and Fujita CAI so I'm hoping it's more... Oh and the spike was a result of it shifting from 3rd to 4th (dude didn't keep it under 6300rpm and since it's an Auto, it shifted automatically!!!)...

That's what CF is for.

Hold the shifter to get it to stay @ 6550. Be nice to get a baseline before the turbo.

Agree bro but my time before the leap is limited (I'm preparing this at a time when my jobs workload is running 110%), my closest Dyno is 1-1/2 hrs away and IMO with my ever changing mods would have no added value since 80% of the current 6th gen Maxes don't have the mods I have.

A baseline dyno would be overkill at this point. We have a pretty good idea of what a full exhaust+tuned AFC does for the 6th Gen.

Imma just throw my guess out right now.

I say no more than 380whp because I just thought of something: 8psi is 8psi with or w/o headers. Headers may allow boost to kick in a little sooner but that's about it. Headers are on the hot side so ultimately your boost controller with control the exhaust feed side. If anything, a 3inch downpipe(if that doesn't come with the kit) would do some good.

The system is designed to work with a 2.5 inch down pipe if I remember correctly, A 3" would be optimum however in my case, not cost effective since all my current piping is 2.5", the advantages explained to me by Tim with a 2.5" with the T3/T4 turbo is a fast spool up and launch and minimum Turbo lag. I absolutely want that for 1/4 mile time improvements.

Agree, at this point a baseline Dyno would serve no added value for me, the money can be better spent on a quality install...

This looks great but are you going to have crazy torque steering issues with all this power in the front wheels?

He's going to have them convert the Maxima to a RWD vehicle to address that

torque steer torque steer. All this talk about torque steer but I don't think it's gonna be that bad. The only time I have bad TS is if I stomp on it on wet roads and break traction; it goes hard to the right. I mean, if you're taking a slow turn and then stomp on it in the middle of the turn you might have a problem but...

Throw on you a set of 20X9s like I did and traction should be decent.

I dont know about that. I mean because I get torque steer and it's dry and I dont even have headers just TS Tune, intake, y-pipe, and catback. And my tires dont even have over 5K miles so traction is not a problem. and mine are 19 x8.5 wheels. But We will have to see how it is once the install is complete.
