Not to be a cynic, but will the transmission and all associated parts be able to handle the power? Any upgrades planned for that?

As usual, Chernmax is at the top of the food chain.

It's gonna be real interesting. Good thing he's reasonably close to those boys in NJ that bullet proof transmissions. If you wanna find out what type of tranny problems you might have just talk to LatinMax or do a search.

People this is not the first turbo max, it's just the first 6th gen turbo max so the torque steer issue is nothing new, and I have a lot of track experience because I'm only 20 minutes away from Maryland International Raceway and I'm on the track often. And with a 5AT, I have the advantage of being able to keep two hands on the steering wheel and I'm no weakling, I'll drive this car...

I have the money and I'm prepared, lets get through the install first before we start worrying about something that may be a non-issue... Remember everyone we currently have a 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5L SE with a 5AT cruising around town in Cali with total success thanks to SFR and you guys think a Max will fair worse, I DON"T THINK SO...

Oh and I just spoke to Tim today from SFR and he said the HotShot headers may be easier to modify than the OEM headers with precats because I have so much more room for custom fabbing to work with, SWEET...

If it becomes an issue, I know a Transmission specialist at NRH racing who lives to solve problems or issues like this, extensive nissan experience. I'm lining up all the right people...

Oh believe me,

When you post that first photo of the turbo installed it's gonna feel like Nissan just released the 7th Gen with RWD. I think everyone's gonna be floored; tranny problems or not.

And you're definitely gonna put down more power(torque IMO) than the 02 Altima.

Ok. This is my last post on this thread until it actually happens...until then.

OK folks, this is not my thread so I'm done posting. When the install is complete I'll start a new thread. Please no PM's etc on status, they will not be answered, you will all know at the same time with pictures and lessons learned, wish me luck...

its going to be sick either way! Its a good idea that you have back-up plan (NRH Trans Guy) in case you do have some problems. I am very excited someone actually put the time/money into this!!! You have really taken a HUGE step for all us maxima owners/fans!

Oh, did you say you will be in cali? If you are then give me a call , i can get some guys together and we can all meet up....

GOOD LUCK FRIEND!

Thanks for the confidence bro, however in my dealings with most performance companies, it's good business to stay out of their business...

You can always apply for a low interest credit card and make low monthly payments, same as financing!!!

Cant wait. If they allow, and you are able, PLEASE take pics as they progress and notes if you can on tricky parts or short cuts. I hope to do the install myself when the time comes.
