Overlays for chrome strips
I couldnt take the fugly chrome strips any more. Its a pain to remove and paint them, aside from being permanent. Also, its risky to remove and paint because of the possibility of windshield cracking. Soooooo ... I went to Lowe's and got some red electrical tape. SHSHSHSHSH, I know, it sounds ricey, cheesy, but I wanted to see what my car would look like with red colored strips over the chrome strips. I already know black would look good since the Street Concepts Maxima already has black.
Here are some night pics of the car with red chrome strips. Day pics to follow. What do ya'll think???
Remember, the red may seem like too much, which is fine, but body color would almost certainly look better than the faded chrome.
If you likey, then Ill contact Bluebatmobile and see if he is interested.

I'm glad u took my suggestion on trying it out w/red electrical tape. It's a good way to get the idea w/o committing to paint at a body shop. I agree w/nightkid- only u can pull it off. I think, from certain angles, particularly from the front (when u can see the grille w/red trim), that it looks cool. It's definitely different and goes with your grille, but I know I'm in the minority here as most other members aren't feeling it. I think the 3rd pic looks kinda cool on your Max, even tho it's not my style. But like nightkid said, "you're the ONLY one who can pull it off". Now, try the black out and see which u like best. Either way, chrome just doesn't work on your car.

You'd think someone could make us some long black strips made of something with a side of stickytape, seems like it would work good. I too wouldnt mind getting rid of the chrome but it doesnt really bother me either.

Deus, I'm typically not a fan of the bat but bro that looks pretty sharp. Possibly a bit overdone so I agree with the majority that black will ultimately look better, but man, your car was MEANT to be seen at night! And like Chern said, the tail blackouts look slammin'. I bet the bat just looks badass rollin' down the road at night. Tight man! BTW, have you seen your therapist yet for your mod addiction condition??

i agree... but the only problem is its so hard to match the paint perfectly without bleding the paint.... and i dont want it to look bad... I will stick w/ black because of my black them i have going on... i think it will look SICK!
