Chernmax Phase 1.5 complete

OK just like most Maxima mods I'm still waiting for the Turbo parts from Speed Force Racing. On another note, Brian from Cattman (thanks bro) sent me my new Kinetix IM, so me being me I installed it. Actually I think it was a good idea since the shop doing the Turbo install will now have more room to work with and reduce cost for the swapout. I also took off the gaskets on the Kinetix IM and replaced them with Nissanworks intake manifold spacers. Last, I removed my engine bay strobe light kit to minimize wiring in the engine bay and clean things up even more before the install.

Last, those of you who have asked about clearance issues if you have a Kinetix IM, IM spacers, and a FUSB check out the pictures for the answer.

Power power power...hear that it delivers and also that it isn't worth it.

I'm wondering if it will be worth it when the headers come out.

Thoughts?

Feels and sounds great, seems to really blast out more in the 3-4K RPM band and keeps going. I also like the fact the engine compartment has more room and less crap. The down side, I'll need a new engine cover. The good side, I now have a new mural on my wall in the man cave...

I meant 'will it make even more power when someone installs the new Cattman headers' when they come out next year.

There are going to be a lot of fast Maxima's on the road...and I do believe you will be first.

Seriously, you are the man. Can't wait to see your car in person one day.

That's the first thing I noticed, no more sweet cover...but the kinetic kinda makes up for it.

So, just so everyone knows, chernmax already has headers. Yes, granted, they are Hotshot, but that's about as close to Cattman as humanly possible. The design can't really be improved on that much, if any.

I have not seen definitive data on the Kinetix IM that shows it provides gains in NA form in order to justify its price. BUT, since chernmax is going FI here in the near future, I DO believe it will provide his application with enough gains to justify the price.

Why do you have a 350Z in your sig if you love your maxima?

Chernmax, though I am a novice in mods, your mod pics look really nice to me and make me want to mod my car too but I am still lacking the confidence. I wish I could feel for once how it is to ride in your car compared to mine (100% stock).

I assume you have invested a considerable amount of $$$ in getting all the mods you have and still continuing. I am wondering, if you had not invested these $$$ in purchasing your maxima and them modding it but instead invested them in purchasing a car with all the performance features you are getting through your mods, wouldn't it be cheaper?

Chern when you are done I am going to take atrip to see how it was to install it. I have been contemplating doing it for awhile with a full engine rebuild. I ant to put like 20 psi to the motor. My friend at Altered Atmospher said it can be done but iwill be a little difficult to custom make all the tubes for the turbo. But it can be done. I want to see what power you are getting out of it. Mad props to the man on the board! Get er done!

Jesus!!
"If 300 WHP is not enough for you then step up to the SFR stage 2 single turbo system for the Nissan Maxima. This system bumps up the power level to 374WHP! This is about 450horsepower as measured at the flywheel."
