That part we know already. I think there is just a little mis-understanding in this thread. The reply that MRC made was vauge and I asked him to clarify. He was just making sure that the maximas we were asking about were the VQ35 A34. I think at the end of the day it's all preference and opinion.(SAFC/UTEC/TS, etc.)

I don't really understand why you keep arguing, but I'm just going to let you do that from this point forward. I understand you are backing the reflash and thats fine. Like I said, I'll agree that the reflash has certain pro's that simply don't match what I want to do with the car.

I will say this one more time, and then I'm done. The Utec will work on our cars.

then get it and prove me wrong

Philo, RHMax, NMex I tend to agree with you guys and it's fairly obvious that the UTEC would provide some great options over and above the TS reflash. I would just feel much better if there were more Maxima owners using it is all and could provide a little added feedback. Good or bad. After my 2 last bolt-ons (y-pipe possibly today or this weekend, and the Nissan works IM spacer) I'm going to need some tune loving soon and definitely appreciate all the great info you guys are putting out here. Please keep it going.

I don't know how familiar you are with the differences between different VQ35 ECUs. Just because something works with one, doesn't mean it will work with another, even though they use the same box and port; like Osiris and TS. Nothing that I've found on UTEC suggest any different. So until someone to confirm that it will work, we won't know.

It's the same connector so it should work. Someone should grow a pair and try it, if not, sell it on the RWD VQ sites.

Dude.

Read.

Spliced, again, spliced into the 4.5 and it STILL works.

I just don't see many folks jumping onto the UTEC bandwagon with 6th gens anytime soon. Maybe I'm wrong. I think for my personal purposes and budget, the TS is going to be my option.

It's expensive. It's also more geared for hard tuners/FI applications.

Look into Osiris though.

I plan to do the UTEC. unless OSIRIS turns to be a better alternative. It seems that on my350z.com they fancy both. There is even a thread that someone started about his experience between the UTEC and OSIRIS some interesting points were brought up.

It's called self education and initiative, post count aside, there are people here that have been here for much less time than me and have WAY less posts and know more, so don't use that as an excuse.

If you would have actually read through that Osiris thread and not ***** about it being OT, you would known this:

I agree with you 100% Josh. I don't plan on being a die-hard/hardcore tuner, so I still think the TS will be my personal best bet.

Cool man, on a serious note keep us posted. While I don't anticipate jumping onto the UTEC bandwagon myself, I'll still be interested to see what you true blue tuners can do with it, and best of luck to you guys. Keep us posted!!

Osiris is a reflash, except it can be done again and again. Look into it.
