2005 SL Auto that 'pops' during hard acceleration, braking, and turns. Also sound slike 'flexing' when taking curves agressively. DLRship tightend crossbace and cradle bolts (?) - anyone have any idea what this might be? They want me to leave the car there for 2 days!!! Can't have it out for that long.

 

Could be the strut.

 

Hub? CV joint? Tie rods?

 

I have that on my 07, I need to stop being lazy and take it to the dealer.

 

After the dealer replaced my left strut I still had a faint noise . I went and looked at it myself and the strut nuts were still loose as well as a few others I tightend everything down there as well as my top strut nuts and the noise is gone.

 

You no i have heard so many of us take about that noise in the front end when going over bumps i also here that they have replaced there strut and the noise is still there now
there saying after tighting some bolts on the strut resolved there issue i beleave that this may be the cause of the struts going bad prematurely and it's always the right side


now my max has the same noise right side i doesn't feel like a bad strut it sound like something is loose so i will be pulling my wheel off tomorrow and tighting things down
i'll let you guys no what happend

 

Stealership says they can look at the car after Thanksgiving. I have to leave it with them for 2 days...The say crossbrace bolts and cradle bolts

Bad Strut
Loose bolts on the strut

Any other ideas?
