    Add NA = Naturally Aspirated

FYI in some circles NOS also stands for New Old Stock (like in my old corvette parts catalogs). However don't some folks also use NOS when referring to Nitrous Oxide?

Sadly yes, they do. NOS has always meant your meaning for me as well.

Half of the stuff in that list doesn't apply to us, like 'controlled center differential'.

Here are a few, including some that probably don't belong in the list because they are already known by all.

    MPH - miles per hour
    KPH - kilometers per hour
PSI - pounds per square inch (tire pressure)
ET - elapsed time (usually referring to quarter mile time)
FP -foot pounds (used in torquing wheels)
    HP - horsepower
CC - cubic centimeter (engine displacement; generally used with smaller engines)
TC or TCS - traction control system
EBD - electronic brake force distribution
SRS - supplemental restraint system (airbags, etc)
LATCH - lower anchors and tethers for children
    CVT - continuously variable transmission
TPMS - tire pressure monitoring system
Cd - Nissan's terminology for Cf (drag coefficient)

Cd is coefficient of drag, not Cf. Cf is an oversimplification, as drag includes impact and pressure resistance as well as skin friction.

FI = Forced Induction or Fuel Injection

RTFM = Read the f'in manual.

    EGR = Exhaust gas recirculation.

Xoomer: are you going to edit your first post by adding all the suggestions so there is one comprehensive list?

It is Idle Air Control Valve = IACV. I had to mess with one on my Celica when I cleaned my throttle plate.
