whats up guys question I have does anyone know or has anyone tried to put the front console (radio and climate controls) from the 2007-2008 maxima (6.5 GEN) on our 2004-2006 maxima what I am trying to do is I wanna install the pioneer avic z2 in my car but I dont wanna install it where the cd slow in our car is cause its too low on the dash and I dont wanna install 3 screens on dash by replacing the factory screen with an LCD and putting the factory where the storage compartment by the shifter is my thought was if the 2007-2008 console was a direct fit into our car the way its designed the radio is much higher on the dash and the climate control screen is right above it and is not a huge LED screen like on our cars so I would like to install that console if possible let me know if its a direct swap and if the wiring is all the same and everything thanks!

It looks pretty close, you'd just have to make sure all the plugs match up, that could pose a problem. Otherwise I say pioneer it and show us that it CAN be done!!!

 

cool I think I will anyone know where I could get the console from junkyard perhaps?

 

I am looking for a 2004 to 2006 climate controls, av switch, etc. If you get rid of yours let me know.

Thats a whole lotta work for very little difference

 

not if its a direct fit, its actually more work doing it using the stock dash cause I have to cut the radio bezel to fit the double DIN and make it look good the 07 maxima has a double din or close to it so it would actually be less work lol the real work is finding the console
