License Plate Light

I need some help with changing the license plate bulbs (size 168). I checked the stickie but couldnt find any instructions on how to change them (perhaps some1 can post a link)..

I'm assuming I have to remove the interior "carpeting" inside the trunk lid but thought I'd get some feedback before I make the attempt. Thanks in advance.

looks similar to mine. I did the inverted cone white leds. Theyre white with a slight tint of purple/blue. Practically a perfect match to my HIDs. Ill throw up some pics later.

Blue LED? Be careful, you're just asking to get pulled over for that.....

I like the way Lexus does their license plate lighting. Is that what the white LED lights are like?

Thanks for the quick responses! I love this site..

yeah, like some1 mentioned earlier... you might wanna avoid anything thats "blue" to avoid the law. I'm curious to know how you replaced the lense with acrylic lenses.

The new Lexus's actually are using cathode lighting not LED, like flourescent but better and more efficient...
