Sorry to hear about your troubles. The spoiler looks nice.

I take it you will be mounting it with tape yourself? It also looks like the broke the part that butts up agains the rear window/roof section oh wait, thats' over spray. Either way the spoiler shouldn't have gaps when you set it on for mounting. If it cannot lay properly on the roof. I take it back to have the sand it off and paint it again.

Ouch! Sorry you had to learn the hard way no to take the car to Maaco aka Craapo. Many years ago I had them do a paint job on a car and boy, they screwed it completely.

you get what you pay for... Maaco is horrible. Same with econobake/electrobake or any other "cheap" paint shops. Anyone who can advertise a complete paint job for under $1000.00... dont go there.

Most people just use the 3m double sided tape, they say it works but I didn't want to chance it. I paid the price of ignorance and had the body shop that painted it put in with some windshield strength epoxy. Never had any issues with it.

Could be, but very unlikely. In order for the paint to be invisible it has to have high quality ingredients... And you know that the word "quality" is not part of Maaco's vocabulary

I accept you apology.... Apparently I wasn't a since there was no roof spoiler in the pics above.. lol

BTW the roof spoiler that Deus has is a different version/style from the one above and it will do me no good to look at his since I am interested in purchasing the style above... Thanks anyway for the help...

Did you order the rear spoiler from the factory? Not the window visor but the trunk spoiler? Does anyone know the best place to purchase one? I just bought a 2008 SL without the spoiler and I'm wondering if I should order through Nissan.

So I just ordered a roof spoiler yesterday for my 2008 SE. What should I expect to pay to have it painted? Should I let the bodyshop install it or is it easy enough that I can do it myself? Is the tape strong enough to hold it on or should I use something else? Any other helpful hints or info you can add?

Nothing more then 140 for paint..Should be about 100 to get it painted, if less, depends on where you go..Well if you're good with your hands some 3m tape, and a friend is all you need. Some used glue, but I don't think its necessary .
