What to look for in Gen 6

Okay, I was lurking around over here in the 6th gen forum, but I couldn't find a thread on what to look for in buying a 6th gen. If I can't wait until the 2009 (8 1/2?) comes out in June, what are the good, the bad, and the ugly of the 08 model? For that mater the 06-07 if I go pre-owned.

07 and 08 are identical. 04-06 were pretty much identical. For 07, they changed the interior and a little exterior styling to "refresh" it to hold them over until the redesign in 09. Some folks call it gen 6.5.

I have an 07 and love it. 07 and 08 have CVT transmission only, so if you're looking for manual, don't bother looking at those. My 07 is still so "new", I've had NO issues at all with it. I can't tell you what goes wrong with them since nothing has broken yet.

My 07 has had the front right strut replaced and the passneger back lock replaced. Other than that its been great

Hey guys, I was looking at a new 08 Max today, SL, leather. Manual adjustable column, no Nav, Bose 6 disc, no driver memory, Sticker was 31,465. They came down to 26,700 but wanted 5.9 on the rate.

What do you think?

Drove the Altima, just don't think it feels as good as the Max, and the price was higher with the 3.5. I couldn't feel a difference in the horsepower.

Dang that's a good price, and I don't think that rate is bad either. If you are under 35 or so that's hard to beat. GRRR wish I had looked at brand new cars...
