SES Light

Got the SES light the other day. In the past week I've had the following installed:

- New Resonator
- AVIC-D3, Trunk Changer, PAC SWI-PS
- Relocated info screen
- Fresh tank of gas

Here are the codes I'm getting:
- U1001
- P0183
- P0462

I cleared the codes but they come right back after I fire up the car.

Any help greatly appreciated.

U1001 - CAN Communication Line
P0183 - Fuel Tank Temperature Sensor High Input
P0462 - Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Low Input

I would deff recheck all the conections you made dealing with the avic and moving the info screen. May have crossed wires somewhere as one sensor has high imput other low. Though if the resonator was welded on they could have burnt wires going to/from gas tank. All i can say is go over everything real careful with a good light source. Good luck electrical problems are usually hard to locate but simple fixes (ie. ground/crossed wires etc.). Btw was this all done at the same time? If not I would start with whatever was done last b4 the SES went on.

I'm starting to think its because of my PAC SWI-PS. Saw someone on the other .org with a similar issue with another PAC device.

Anyone else have one of these installed for steering wheel controls?

Yeah i saw that too when i did a search, uninstall and see. I have 2 Pac units currently (for RCA's out and audio in) installed and have been very satisfied with them and Pac's customer service. If it is the unit give them a call/email they may have a fix for you, they do have a firmware update.

also the light came right on when the tech started the car i didn't even drive any
where

U1001 - CAN Communication Line
P0183 - Fuel Tank Temperature Sensor High Input
P0462 - Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Low Input

same codes i cleared them and they haven't come back yet help

My 05 SE got the SES light and I haven't changed a thing. Took it to a shop and its showing up with the CAN Communication Line. Anyone know how to fix this or what is the CAN (cable area network)???

I just did the "ecu reboot" and the SES light went off. HOWEVER, after my 30 min test drive...I pulled into my driveway and the SES light returned!!!! HELP!
