As always, great job Chris H.

What is the exact black color on your roof. Does it have some sort of sparkle to it? My liquid silver has like particles in it and I am afraid that just black will look off. (not that its not supposed to look different)

That black roof is gorgeous. Like the others said, see if you can squeeze the muffler tips more upwards, towards the bumper.

Chern - the muffler tips do look a bit too outward. I would somehow bring them in a little bit. Loving the black roof - that looks HOT but I have mixed feelings about the painted grill though. But maybe when you powdercoat the intercooler black it will even out. Lastly, I would also consider the 07 spoiler. But overall, car looks good

Thanks for the input all on the mufflers, In person they look straight and aligned but damn in pics I see a difference also. I'll take a look at it and may reverse a spacer I put in which angled the muffler down more because the tips looked squashed into the space of the Stillen rear. So agree, I'll work it into my list of things to do...

Actually the very last mod I care to do is the new red LED tail lights (look closer to G35 OEM lights which I love) that were supposedly due out in late January. Anyway IMO they would look hotter on my car verse getting some tinted overlays which in my opinion are not nessassily because IMO the red lense match beautifully with my cars red color like a black max would with tinted tails, but that may be the last mod for a while and I start enjoying the ride verse every week garaged for something so expect to see a lot more playtime reports and VID's in the future...

I like the contrasting grill, looks sweet. I'd leave the intercooler un-coated, you will take away from its heat shedding properties if you mess with it.

Remember it's still a Maxima so the affects will be minimum for a car that will be driven 95% street and 5% track. It's a tradeoff I decided on for the sake of looks...

Went to my first dyno tuning session, man the Split Second FTC can be a real b!tch to program. Had the first tuning session at Ptuning in Manassass Virginia, Toan really knows his stuff and is doing a great job so far. Preliminary numbers after 5 hours and up to 7lbs of boost and 39 pulls later were 312.6Whp and 306.8 FTLBs of TQ

Est 370 crank HP (about 115hp over stock) (5AT)

The car is being tuned on a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer machine which has also been called a heart breaker because it normally list Dyno pulls about 10-15% below a Dynojet. Toan estimates on a Dynojet the car would be sitting on about 345+whp with 6-7 PSI

Have to remove my IM and drop in some Japanese 350Z NGK cold plugs (LFR6A-11, got them at Ptuning), then take it back next month for the 7-8psi tune and play with the timing...

So it's a start that I'm extremely happy with and the 2-1/2 hr drive home was awesome...
Pictures...

Oh and one of the employees at PTuning has a Beautiful 5.5 Gen with only 20K miles, unfortunitely he had the car at the shop for repairs because someone broke into it in Alexandria VA and gutted his new dash electronic's, sorry didn't have the heart for the inside shot but if you look closely at the passenger door window frame, you can see the metal pulled back from the big a$$ screwdriver someone used...

Beautiful Max non the less...

Interesting. Got any graphs to go along with the #'s?

Nice #'s none the less. What were the baseline #'s (i.e. what did he do and how much did he gain)?

The only HKS plugs I could ever find were 2 step colder and 20$/pop. For that price, you could get 1 or 2 step colder Iridiums for less than 1/2 that price

Haven't seen anything to indicate I should at this time. I did buy some stuff at Ptuning which should help reduce the temp 20-30 degrees and until I get the tranny upgraded, I'm going to install a tranny cooler as a small safeguard. Starting to SLOOOOOWWWWW my mod pace for a while, have a full workload, 2 new classes of students and local/international travel. Have to work first IOT play hard...

I agree, those mufflers are frickin huge! It would be nice to elongate the muffler openings in the rear bumper then position the tips flush with the rear bumper. Car looks great though!

It's on my list of things to do but down low on the list right now. I'm currently in Tranny rebuild mode ordering all the parts for the beefed up tranny.

I don't want to touch the rear yet because theres a member designing a new rear bumper for the 06-08 where the mufflers go through openings like the new GT-R rear, once that's made I'll do my measurement off that for a more flush look. They actually look better in person but I have to keep them slighty lower than I'd like because the Stillen rear skirt is a tad small to stuff the Remus duels straight in. I hear you bro's...
