Along with the headers you gotta get the S-AFC to +/- fuel to get the best effect. You mainly notice the added gain on the top end.

There are waaay better headers than OBX on ebay. Just search for "headers Altima" w/o the quotes. I see at least 2 equal length type headers that look way better than OBX.

The Y-Pipe's I've seen on all the headers for Altimas always seem not right when I compare what the stock one looked like...

Maybe its just me...

The Hotshot headers on my car were originally made for the Altima. Fits great on my car though. You can ask Chern too. You can't compare the stock y-pipe with a header setup because the headers are longer which means the y-pipe will probably be shorter.

yeah what he said. i swear this topic comes up like every month.... and the answer is.............

-yes obx/cheapo headers are fine.
-i have them on my car and i havent had a problem.
-it was installed like last spring?
-dynoed and wasnt less numbers than chernmax before the turbo. around the same numbers. i htink i even dynoed higher than chernmax original 255whp? i had 262 but i think i had aarons spacers in before him.
-install is somewhat of a *****, might have to shave off some of the y pipe so it wont touch the starter.
-its better to find someone you know to install them. install can cost you up to 600+ or just install it yourself there are some writeups on it around the net from a 3.5 altima.
-someone just sticky this post

yes the hotshots is no longer available
thats the reason why am asking if any one installed another brands of headers for the 6th gen maxima ?

I don't care about the installation
all what I care about is to get the most power of the headers as you said its installation is pain in da *** and u want to do it once in your life!!

so OBX is the better ones so far!

I would say for you; don't get any headers until you do a little more homework. I can't believe people actually like those OBX thingys.

Question for you CVT guys: Does the transmission allow you to rev to redline? Headers won't be of much use if it doesn't.

Yes Hotshot is out of business but if you have a specific question about these headers I was the first one to successfully install them in a 6th gen Max...

Do you guys have a SES issue like the 05-06 altima? We have a issue due to removing the precats and having wide band sensors.
Obx is, I guess the better of the 2. I don't really care for the el-cheapo's. I myself will be waiting for a solution to the SES and for Cattman to come out with his setup.
