Halo Group Buy The Install

Alright boys, I started the install today, it was a long day and I have yet to finish. Anyway I managed to get the drivers side light comlpeted and installed so that all could see what they look like. I know you have been waiting patiently, but I feel it was worth the wait, these halos look awesome. I have not been able to get a pic in the complete dark but will do so tomorrow. I still have to finish the other light as well as run a new switch.
Lights off and pic of clear marker.

Correct on that one. You can wire them to the parking lights if you wish.

Is it difficult to assign these halo's to their seperate switch? And when you do, through what source does it turn on? (i.e. fog light switch, parking lights, etc.)

I saw this thread on the other site. Don't know which one you visit most, but when you get the opportunity, hit the other site up because I have a few questions for you in regards to these. I'm definately interested in buying my pair.

It's nice that group buys always work out where 20 people commit and 3 actually buy. Then the rest of us are left in the dust. Post 1950 Americans lost the ability to commit to anything.

Really. And in all honesty the price given for this item is quite impressive in my opinion. I wonder how to do the installation? I guess once I get my pair I'll have to go somewhere to have them installed.

Umntizas are 150 and they don't even conform to the headlights. I hate people.

Just to clarify, I meant "impressive" in the sense that the price is very good for such a product.

Also to clarify, I agreed with you, lol It's the people that aren't committed to buying and forcing me to wait that I hate.

Why don't you contact the vendor and see if you can pay a little bit extra to have your pair delivered already instead of waiting for the rest of the group?

I agree with you here, when I first posted the thread there were like 18 or so people between the 2 boards who said they would buy these lights. So I work with Justin to do my best to get better fitting lights at a reasonable price for us. I tell him there are a bunch of guys interested so he puts the time and effort in to make a better fitting set of halos for us. When I announce the pricing everybody is in for the most part with a few who would like to see the product installed first and in the daylight which is not an unreasonable request. I comply and post pics yet I believe there are only about 8 who have actually ordered so far. Don't know what the problem is, its not like people have to shell out 400 or so for the product. This is the problem we have with getting vendors to make products for our cars. Everyone says they will buy until it is time to crack open the wallet then its a million excuses. I was hoping for a good turnout here so that I could discuss working with him on another option for our tail lights. But I guess we will wait and see.

As of tommorow the list will be brought to 9 (I'll be placing my order tommorow, over the phone), but I will pay extra if I have to in order for my item to be shipped before the rest are. I don't believe in waiting for something I've paid for only because some others decided when the moment of truth arrived that they wanted to back down.

Not excusing it but a bunch of people signing up for gb and not following through isnt just this forum. I own a 04 wrx and on Nasioc the same thing happens. It is just people's nature these days. It does take anything to post yea I am in. But when it comes to pay the shake up is usually drastic.

Hmmmm..... looks sweet with the headlights off - but is it just the pics or when the headlights are on you can't really see the ring?

Of course the headlights drown out the ring. But if you disconnect the continous node of the top running lights, you'll only run at night with the lower lights (headlights) on and you'll still see the top ring.

BMWs have their ring way thicker and it is on the outer edge of the light fixture. These are thinner and are on the "inner" path of the light.

I called today to purchase mine and to my surprise I was told to call in a few days to place my order because they're working on a better version of these halo's that will perfectly fit our cars.

Nah, he said his name, but I really wasn't paying attention. He told me he was an installer or something like that and that he was the only one in the office. Apparently, he isn't in sales because as I said, I was completely surprised and a bit thrown off at the fact that this guy practically told me not to do it right now, but to check in a few days to see if by than they have the "updated" halo look.

Which sucks because I just bought a list of things for exterior mods and I was able to get EVERYTHING with the exception of this. I even told him if he could mail it right away, that I don't mind paying extra to have this shipped before the group orers go out and that's when he proceeded to tell me what he did.

Woah I don't know if this installer knows what he is talking about. Justin is the owner and developer of the halos. The origional kit I bought was the kit they first offered for our cars. I then worked with him on the most recent ones that are for sale. A new mold had to be recast to make the current ones and that took a couple of months so I find it hard to believe that there is a new halo coming out so soon especially after going through the motions of setting up the group buy. I will call him tomorrow and find out for sure though.

Yes, please do because he could've lost a potential buyer from that. I want to do all these mods in one shot. So I hope things get clarified in time for me to call them up tommorow once again and place my order and have 'em shiped out A.S.A.P. (don't care if I have to pay extra), otherwise, I guess it'll be in my "to do list if I ever get to doing some other mods on the lights".
