RLM-F Grill Update (Edit: AT, not RLM grill)

No, not a new AT grill ...I'm calling it the AT-F(fake) grill I got off egay in January.

I finally got around to painting it last week and installed it today. The metal tabs that hold the mesh on were bendable so I was able to easily remove the mesh for painting. Shot it with my cheap-o HVLP gun. I also tinted the headlights with 30%(light) vinyl film from ebay to help eliminate the bright chrome look. Enjoy...

BTW: the E&G grill that was on my car is for sale in the FS section

Nice work... but i just dont like how you can see all the hood latch pieces ETC...

But again.... good job on DIY on painting... not a bad grill at all for 100 bux...

IMO, you should've kept the E&G grill. This looks somewhat horrible. As someone indicated, the bottom part of that grill seems to be too small and than you can see through the grill.

Just my $.02

^^^^ Come on dude, it doesn't look horrible. Maybe to an **** retentive, but most people would never notice the gap. Respect.

Nice. A question about tinting the headlights. Would that be causing a safety issue at night since you are not getting the full effect of the headlights?

It's only a very light tint. I don't see any difference at night. I'm sure if it were tinted really dark you'd see a difference though. I'm not really into the blacked-out lights though.

I only tinted them to get rid of all the chrome on the front of the car. I'd like to paint them black but don't want to bake the headlight just yet.

Ugh, it looks very cheap. This isn't a $1000 Civic.

Most people can't/won't notice the gap. And even with the AT Grill - which I got it a couple of months ago - you will still see some small gaps on the bottom which is much like yours, but can only be seen if you kneel down in front of the car.

It's more like the AT-F grill (active tuning) It's quite a bit different than the RLM grill...

Looks decent IMO, I think that gap bothers me too much. It probably wouldnt look like as much of a gap on a black max tho.

I def like the style, but maybe go with a little tighter knit mesh? something that'll hide the radiator a little more. But still, a great job, better than stock I think..

Right, I may put a tigher mesh on it. I also plan to put some type of Nismo emblem on it. Just can't find a good one yet.
