yeah, I bet you hate it when you want to pick your nose, but there's a hottie in the car next to you, so you can't.

1. Get into an accident and kill someone. You'll be sued and poor the rest of your life.
2. Get into an accident and total your car. You're insurance will deny it.
3. Why are you driving an expensive car if your going to act like a child. You cannot see out of 20% tint at night. A child crossing the street will be nailed by you and you will go to jail for criminal neglect and manslaughter.
4. Tinting the front windows are ultimately stupid. Buy a civic.

HA! WOW! So much negativity in this thread about this. I dont think people here distinguish the difference between the cheap $100 " ENTIRE CAR TINT W/ Lifetime Warranty" and the tint that cost ~400 to tint the entire car.

Why do most expensive and high-end cars have their windshield tinted ?

Having Heavier rims reduces braking distance, therefore if someone jumps in front of you, you wont have enough time to stop and you'll end up hitting them; but if you had the stock rims, braking distance would be significantly better.

You guys are being very unreal. This is the main reason why many members do not post here. Everyone is almost negative about everything that is done if it disobeys the law to the minimal extent.

I'm done here.

i agree tinting windshield is dangerous and stupid...but only stupid if it's super dark lol the 70% i have on my windshield is barely noticeable and does not hinder night driving at all. the advantage of having tint on the windshield is that it blocks a lot of heat and protects the interior. i've had friends in my car and saying how cool it feels even when the sun is right in front beaming down on us. once i told them it's tinted they had to touch it to see for themselves lol one disadvantage of having tinted windshield is once you get it, you will never want to drive without it again.

i always tell them...a tint job is never complete until you do the windshield it's true, a lot of heat comes in from the front. but ya you should go as light as possible if you only want it to block heat and v-kool works best for windshield since it's super light and blocks as much heat as dark tint.

i think a lot of negative comments are because you have 20% tint. it's just DARK and not safe at all lol especially at night. yeah it looks cool but is it cool enough to risk getting in trouble over? anyways for safety sakes i suggest you go back to 50% it's just better to be able to see at night.

I guarantee you, if you sat in my car with the 50% tint and then sat in it again at 20%; you wouldnt notice a difference. Ignorant people dont understand that GOOD tint is made so that you can see outside but not in the inside. What do people think is the difference between $100 tint and $400 tint ? the way it sticks ? or the way it appears from the inside of the car ?

all this advice from people who have never done it...

if YOU can see, then you can see. i've done full 5% (including windshield), and that was unsafe for me although i've had friends that could handle it. i changed the windshield to 20% and it was never an issue (vision or police).

*edit looks good btw!

oh trust me there is a difference between the 50% and 20% lol no matter what brand or how good it is, it will still be darker than 50%. i should know, i've gone thru a lot of different tint on my car and i have over $1400 worth of tint on my car right now (3 layers of quality tint different brands) and during the day i can see out fine and looks like i have 35% tint but from outside you can't see in. but at night, it's a lot darker.

p.s. i will never get $100 tint jobs lol they don't block heat at all even if it's super dark. the difference between $100 tint and $400 tint is the amount of heat it rejects and the way it appears from the inside of the car too i guess.

and I guarantee YOU, that if you compare 50% and 20% tint side by side, you will notice the difference. Although I would suggest a lighter tint if you like privacy, but hey, if it floats your boat, then good for you.

Damn i did not think about the defroster lines but you normally take a razor blade and peel it off. I hope i can get the rear off without messing up my defroster lines.

They don't. Because most people who drive expensive/high-end cars don't "mod" them, and especially don't do illegal mods. And no vehicles come from the factory with tinted windshields, since it it illegal in all 50 states.

(and btw before you say it, PPG vibrant is not a tint, it's a clear reflective...and that's what you see on alot of high-end cars these days).

....very nice. As I indicated in my initial reply, I want to do this mod myself, but probably go for a 30%-35% tint. What brand of tint is this and how much did it run you?

Be careful if you live in Bay County FL. But I've never seen a windshield tinted in our area. I had 15% on all windows (except windshield). I had enough problems seeing with 5% on my last vehicle.

Yeah that doesnt look bad at all... To Bad suffolk love getting me for D.W.B or I will do it too!!

From the outside... it looks hella dark but the inside is not bad at all. I agree... rain on tint is tons darker so you did a great job picking your percentage.
