speedometer gone bad?

speedometer gone bad?

today i was driving on the highway at a steady speed i looked down on my speedometer and it said 0 MPH WTF? i was going at least 80ish. my rpms were fine but the mph was at 0!?!?!? but 2 secs later it bounced up to 70mph and the car jerked a little. wat the hell is going on!?

wheel speed sensors ? have any abs lights on the dash or vsa light or anything

Had you ever done anything with your cluster? I mean like LED upgrade or gauge overlays swap...? If so, maybe your speedometer needle is "loose" and needs to be pushed slightly back. Just a thought

If you have an AVIC-D3 (or similar aftermarket head unit) hooked up to your VSS wire you should watch the speed setting to see if its doing the same thing...

hey. i DO have a abs light because when i installed my front coilovers i ripped it by accident. im getting that fixed saturday. will that fix my problem though?

Make sure that no debris got caught in your ABS sensors or speed sensor ( sorry if those are the same...I'm not thinking straight right now) because I remember that my tiptronic would be acting up due to debris being caught in one of the sensors
