Headlight Failure

Well Gents,

My right headlamp went out yesterday. I had opened my headlights to install Halos and condensation began forming inside. Then suddenly the lamp went dead last night. I figured that the bulb had condensation on it and burst. Before I bought new bulbs online however, I switched the bulbs this morning to ensure that it was, in fact, the bulb. It is not. All other lights work on the right side except the headlight. Both bulbs are functional. I checked all contact points to ensure I hadn't melted any in the oven, but they are all fine. Plus the light worked after I had reinstalled it.

I'm completely baffled, and cannot afford to buy a new headlight or take it to the stealership. Any ideas of what could have gone wrong? I can only assume it must be the ballast itself. Is there a way to unplug the ballast from the driver's side and put in the passengers side? I'm guessing that would be the quickest way to diagnose the problem (besides using a voltmeter to test the contact).

Thank you,
Joshua

Yes I did.

And the headlight originally worked when I reinstalled. It has to have something to do with the condensation after the fact.

Lol, baking the ballast, 2 hours @ 400F with a bit of salt, pepper and white wine.

My guess would probably be that somehow the water or the condensation got to the wires/harnesses? Anyways good luck!
