I say def go red....keep it OEM...that way you surprise people when you apply the brakes...then they notice your car isn't quite stock.

led taillights are very sharp! where's a good place to find them? Just bought my 6th gen and looking to do a bunch of cosmetic to it! I like the smoke but I think im going to stick with red on the silver paint. thanks man!

I'm going to ask if he would make some for us 3rd gens in www.nissanclub.com we had someone make them but then they fell OFF THE MAP!!!! nobody can get in contact with him...somebody help us..here is the link where the led's were discussed and one member with them....the supplier was selling them for 300 dollars..but like I said he fell off the map and the member who purchased them has a bad connection somewhere and can't get in contact with the supplier...

Hey J or max is the price still 289 is that for a set or one? i also was wondering how long it would take for it to ship for $15 is that ups ground 3-5 days? i was wondering if u could do a overnight or 2day. my cars at a shop getting fixed up and they will only have it until this friday at the shop wondering if i order tomorrow morning if i could be able to get it in thursday or friday the latest? please let me no i live in san francisco. Ok ive deleted a couple of my messages because slowly i am getting further into this process (SLOWLY!) but it seems that everyone is off working on their maximas too, because i was trying to beat the rain, but the rain won, and i have to stop for now, but anyways...... How do i get these taillight assemblies off!? i have got the clips and bolts off, and now have the taillight assembly and the trim that is next to the trunk loose( which i think is what should happen) but even though they are both loose, i cant get them off. i must have spent an hour and a half pulling, pushing, shaking, and HAMMERING at this thing. (no, just kidding bout the hammer.) But would someone help me get these taillights off!? ive got a trip ahead of me and id like to get this done before i am out!

 

Sounds like you have them hanging by the wires. Have you tried twisting the bulb socket to release it from the housing?

 

No, haha theyre not hanging by the wires. the assembly isnt really hanging by anything. its still attached to the car but i can get it to seem like if i pull hard enough it will seperate, but ive pulled really really hard at those things and they are not coming out. i havent gotten to the point where i can see the bulb yet. i wish i could show u a pic but my camera is away rite now. If someone looked at my taillights they wouldnt look loose but if you pull at them they allow some give and can shake.


...ok..update. i was attempting to get it off, and got damn close. so then my idiot self decided to wedge a part off with a screwdriver, and i tried not to push hard but did apparently because i chipped a little piece off my tail, (haha its not that bad) but, since i was just trying to tint em not put on leds im gonna just keep em on and tint em.

 

I need those ruby red lights in my life !!! Lol Plz tell me when I can expect a restock

 

As long as you have both bolts off from inside the trunk, you just need to give them a good tug. Ive done it numerous times with no problems. Make sure you are pulling on the the trim that is next to the trunk as well, as it is all connected together...

All it took me was 10 seconds and this has 14 of them available. Get them while their hot!

 

^ They are back stocked. Actually had to leave them negative feedback for having auctions up and not having the item. Also had to wait a couple weeks for a refund. There are pretty much sold out everywhere and wont be restocking until mid December according to IPCW themselves

 

Oops......my mistake on that one then. I just assumed that they had them from their false advertisement.

 

ok, i finally got my taillights off, and tinted them with rustoleum tint spray. This is in no way as good looking as the leds, but for those who cant afford the leds right now. it is a great temporary add to the look of your car for cheap as long as you are patient and do it correctly.

Looks like you already made your choice from what I see in your sig. Unless you plan on painting your headlights black and include other black accents than ruby red is the way to go for you.

 

I think i will go with the red but i will love to see the clear in person i like bright chrome look but i dont know , red is the safe way to go but clear if is good it will make the car stand out so hard to choose any help please lol

 

I wouldn't recommend the chrome ones. They look cheap as hell. DEFINITELY go with either black or red. What color is your ride?

 

IMO since you got the carbon fiber wrapped hood/roof than the black ones will look good on your ride.
