I liked it until I seen how the brake lights is placed. I still have to see how the red one looks. I still love the placement of the rest of the light though. Contemplating on ordering them for my max.
Question, I just got my white led lights replace on reverse will that still be able to be used on the new lights?

Yeah that's confusing, how would you have liked to see them placed?
Nope, plug and play. You just have to make sure you plug the top and bottom correctly (blinker vs. brake) You'll know if you did it wrong once you test them...
My LED tail lights just arrived.... They look great!!! I didnt know that we use the OEM reverse light...
The LED lights arrrived with no bulb for the reverse light... lol
Is that normal????

I am using these:

First one down, the only problem is on the blk tails the reverse lens is gry not reflective chrome so the light output is minimal. I will be looking for a light that aims directly back to replace them...

Just installed my lights and wow.... what an improvement.
The install took me 1.5 hours to do.... after installing the lights, i had to remove them because i forgot to install the upper tail light cover. lol
The hardest part was pulling out the tail light. those 2 clips hold the light in pretty tight. I had to break the clips in order to remove the light. lol

Looking good!!
Black on smoke is legit and will post pics soon. Wow what an easy install. Make sure you clip those wires in tight as I thought they were in and ...nope, needed to press harder. Other than that, sweetness.

Damn I'm right in the middle of Tranny work and after opening up my box and seeing the tails up close and personal, I'm shaking thinking how beautiful these will look on my ride. Beautiful!!!
I just got my red ones in and gettin ready to install. I might order the black ones since I have the smoke grey color and see the difference. Will post pics soon as well. Oh yeah, just in time for a car show tomorrow...couldn't have planned that one any better. Only showin the MaX cuz my show truck is gettin some glass done to the interior.
Need Help Please... I got the OEM light off but don't understand what to plug into. The back of my light has wires connected to bulbs that twist into the back of the OEM housing. I see the wires plugged into a clip of some sort in the trunk of the car, however the plugs on the LED lights are super short and will never reach that far. Please advise of how to proceed.
PS... to those who have not installed, uses the tape that JSmith advised. I did not understand what he meant and have a nice scratch on my bumper now to go with my new light.

Well I just got the passenger side installed, put back together and I went to take the driver side light out of the box and the bottom rounded corner under the Reverse light fell apart in 2 little pieces. I AM SO DAMN PISSED! What do I need to do to return these and have another sent out???

If you tug and then don't come loose, try this. I did this and I didn't have to put any force pulling them off. Underneath the carpet against the outer wall of the car there are those tabs (dark orange, and white I think). Take a RUBBER mallet and gently tap the threaded screws where you just took the bolts off of then tap those tabs. The tabs will not come out of the body of the car, however it will jar loose anything that is stuck in it. It's kinda like a suction peg.
If you try to take the 'protective piece' off your OEM tail you'll have 4 screws that are holding it on, plus double sided 3M tape. Very carefully work your fingers down from the bottom towards the top peeling it apart. Hope this helps everyone.

I think red would look good. I have the 2nd darkest color (charcoal smoke grey) and I have the red ones, but thinking of buying another set (black) because the black LED's look almost grey so I think in my opinion they'll flow with my color, but might not be dark enough to keep the same contrast with your car. Good luck though. One of the easiest mods I've done.
