I decided not to do it due to the mere fact the SSIM can not be reversed. I been hearing all kinds of reviews about it and having loose low end and mid range torque for a 14 second race seems a lil pointless.

Just stayed with the regular mods and she did pretty well

I enjoyed mine while I had it.

I think that was a wise decision.

Yeah I'm actually happy I didn't because if I had done it then found out it was more for top end I'd be cheesed. Since modding my car I've learn a lot of do's and don't and that SSIM fell under the don't.

I think I've had enough of modding for speed and encountering problems along the way

Yeah now it's time for you to work on your drving skills to avoid that accidental downshift.... Rookie. J/K man.

But I did that once back in the day when I had an 03 Spec V at the 1/4.(the shift gate is even tighter than the MAX). 3rd to 2nd scared the shiz out of me.

Don't remind me about that man. I'm still trying to forget it. But I'm hitting the tracks on friday with my new clutch, younger engine and Aaron's 5pc spacer kit, so wish me luck. I got a full tank right now so I gotta drive hard and burn it out to put some 94 octane fuel. I hope with the few extra mods since last time I run a 14 flat or possibly a 13.99.

I'm crossing my fingers for a cool day and hope the temperature drops below 12 degrees celcius. But either way i'm happy how far I came in such a short time. Thousands of dollars later...

Younger engine, hopefully it has better compression, Exedy OE clutch, 5pc spacer kit, lower my tire pressure to 19psi from 23psi and I'm going to use 94 octane fuel as oppose to the 89 I used last time. So the only thing holding me from running a 13.99-14 is cooler temperature

I'm not try to have too high of an expectation, that way I wouldn't be to disappointed. 13.99-14.0 is a realistic goal.

I'm officially an idiot. I had plans to go to the track this friday, went to the gas station to get a little gas and unconsciously I put my gas cap in the nozzle while I clean all my glass to realize I filled the tank right up. Now I gotta find a way to use a full tank in two days then top it up with 94 octane fuel.

I tell you sometimes...
