allright hope you are sitting down. Bose puts out 1/2 ohm to each speaker. So if you have Bose you are not just looking at replacing just the head unit you are looking at replacing the speakers also. If you don't have bose then you can simply change it out. Tried finding the link for you but it seems that all of the how to's are missing the links. There is a link for a direct stock install. Will work with factory radio. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-...spagenameZWDVW this is the product whether or not you purchase from ebay is totally up to you but it is less than a head unit and perfect for what you want. To remoce the cd player is real easy. First remove the shift ****, then the cover for the shifter, Pops right up. there are two connectors on the back side that come off easy. then you will see two screws that hold the cover for the cd player in. remove those screws and pull that cover towards you. it comes out held by retaining clips. don't pull too far because there is a cable that plugs into the ac controll on the top. Remove that and your there. piece of cake. Takes me about 3 minutes to do.

Aftermarket Cd player

Well my stock cd player is breaking, cds get stuck in there and i feel it is time for a new one. if i put an aftermarket cd player in will the controls on the steering wheel still work and how does an aftermarket player affect the info screen.
