[QUOTE=NismoMax80;6404493]well that's why you would want adjustable shocks/struts. you can choose from softer-to-firmer than oem.

Ok Nismo, you sold me. Now when do you think, realistically, we could get our hands on some adjustable struts? I am willing for them to send me some demos to test them out in real world conditions!!!! I would really like to enjoy some summer driving in my Max.

Xoomer, I would guess its the GR-2s. The GR-2s are firmer than stock and you add that to the firmer springs plus NY roads= stiff ride. The springs themselves made the ride firmer but not much harsher on road imperfections. I love the way it rides on the highway at @ 75mph on OEM struts but they can't handle the low speed road bumps.

Bump.... b/c I am impatient and my strut is seriously making me consider trading the Max in for a Yugo.

I'm definately interested and in the market for an item such as this. I'm currently looking at getting Tein Coilovers, but I've heard many good things about Tokico as well.

like i said, this isn't "who is buying a set right now." it's just to help them see there is a solid market for this product to be researched and developed specifically for our car.

I'm a total newb and dweeb and all this info is making my head spin but if it will help the cause then count me in. All I know is when I get home from where I am at, I want to lower the car about 2 inches and but nice rotors on her. I already have 17" MB's sitting on Khumo's from when I owned my '02 Altima. (Still kicking myself for getting rid of her) I just want my 6th Generation to be sitting pretty but not lose the quality of the ride. So if adjustable is the way to go as Nismo suggests then put me in coach I am ready to play.
Scrappy

update

Hi Justin,

A lot has been in discussion in the past few months. First of all, if we move forward with the development of adjustable shocks for your Maxima, it will most likely be the HTS line. The adjustment range on this line is much greater than the illuminas. (instead on 5 set selections, you can adjust a dial 7 1/2 full turns, stopping anywhere you see fit for your ride) Thanks to all your members for the excellent feedback from maxima.org. I'll be in another new product development meeting next week. I can't promise anything at this time, but I'll keep you posted ;-)

Thanks,
David
