"Clunking' Noise when the road is rough

When I am going through bad roads, i hear this "clunking" noise from the front suspension area. This noise can only be heard when the road is really bad, otherwise there is no noise. Any suggestions what is contributing to this before i go to the dealership.

i am not lowered. I brought it to the dealer once to have them inspect my suspension being too harsh. After the inspection, they said the suspension is good. And concluded that it is my tires that is making the ride harsh. I am using Good Year F1 All season.

I hope you can figure out a resolution to this problem, i'm dealing with the same thing here, i'm also in a 2004, had the problem with stock suspension, i work for a nissan dealership and they said change the struts, now im on K-sport coilovers and still getting the same problem. Now my steering is messed up also, makes a "clanging" noise when i spin the wheel at stop / low speeds.

Check out the other suspension problem thread here...most likely the front strut mounts and bearings need to be replaced.

I have the same noise. Might be the seat rubber for the front springs as discussed in another thread. I don't want to change struts and the noise still be there.
