Sunroof problems

Ive had problems with mt sunroof before and the other day it finally died. Would only make a gringing noise. After waiting for a part on back order I got it in the other day. Thanks for a warranty. They replaced the track and it would have cost me $1500 they said.

That would have been expensive. Was that an extended warranty? I haven't read about too many sunroof problems.

Im only at 16k miles so it was regular warranty. They didnt say the issue or cause. Ive had a problem with it before. My wifes also makes a clunk sometimes. With it open and we go to stop it makes the noise. Her lease is up in november and thinking about the rogue or murano. Just depends on the lease deals at the time. She's at 24k miles now.

You're lucky that is covered under warranty. I have the same problem, and mine is at 65K and the sunroof is only covered up to 36K. The dealer said 1600 to replace, so for now, i am just going to leave it close all the time. Maybe get a used sunroof assembly and try put it on myself someday.

People say leasing sucks because you never own and always have payments. I look at it as insurance of not having a high repair bill. LOL
