Concealed shift light

Hey,

I been searching for an aftermarket Tach, but I hate the idea of having a huge tach on my dash making my car look like a rice burner. I have also been looking into shift lights, but they are overpriced and some look cheap and they are still too big. I want to go for the stealth look. I want something that I can use only when I need it at the track. So after doing some research I came across http://www.raptorperformance.com/pro...RPM_Switch.htm. This company sales a module that can be hidden under the dash or somewhere else concealed and attach one or two L.E.D's and mount anywhere you want. They also offer a small L.E.D warning light that is also small, but I can get single L.E.D's for a lot more cheaper. I plan on buying this unit and install it my self.

The reason why I want to do this is because our tachs are blocked by the da(m)m sterring wheel and it just sucks when I hit the track and don't see my shift point.

I spoke to Rick from Raptor performance and told him about the org. He is interested to put up a group buy once I purchase the first unit and have it installed. I would like to know if you guys are interested so that I can move on with the purchase and install. I'm not sure what the discount will be yet, but I will work with Rick so that he can hook us up. The price of the modue is $105, which is still cheap IMO. So what do you guys think? Should I go for this?

Thanks

I'm looking to to install something no one has done yet. I know my car is not fully modified, but soon it will since I will not have a car note soon. There are other org members that do have modified engines that might consider a tach or shift light. All I'm doing is putting out an idea so that others can look at and see if it will be something that will benefit them.

If anyone is interested Im still working on getting the group buy started.

I spoke to Rick from Raptor performance (nice guy) and told me that they tested the shift light on a 05 Altima before. The light did not work since the signal from the coil was too low. He mentioned that they had to modify the module in order to work with the Altima, so this means that it is possible that the module may need to be modified for our cars as well. He will work on testing the module on a 05 Max and will let me know if it will need modification or not. Once he is done I will place my order and do the install.

Alright fellas,

I just spoke to Rick from Raptor performance and the modification to the module is complete. I will place my order and install it within a week or two. Once I install I will share with you how it worked out.

I also asked Rick about a group deal for those who are interested. He just needs to know how many would like to purchase the module in order to talk about the price, so please let me know who is interested.

Thanks

Ok, so I talked to Rick again and here is what he will offer us.

The retail price for the module is $105 + $7 shipping

If I can get a group of 10 buyers he will drop the price to $90 + $7 shipping

If we get 15 or more there will be free shipping.

This module will also work with any other gen

Thanks

because $105 is a luxury to have 2 LEDs tell you when to shift.
hes being reasonable. and im sure you can spend $105 on an intake or use it to save up for SSIM or turbo.
just his .02cents.

and your reply to his post doesnt even help the thread either.

I will place my order tomorrow and install as soon as I get it. I will take pictures and give as much detail as possible on the install.
