Wiring for Sat in trunk

I am sure that I have seen this topic before and probably some of you also. I tried to do a search however there was too much to sort through.

For the 05 I was wondering how do you check for the satellite factory pre-wire in the trunk. What do you look for and how is this done? From the back seat by lifting the rear deck or under the trunk by removing the trim?

What type of connector should I look for...Try to install the XM kit in my 05 Max so that it works off.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Open your front door and look on the side and there should be a sticker that tells you if you are pre wired or not. The 05 module is expensive and the part is 999U9-NV003. You have to remove the trunk lining for your rear deck and it should be plug and play

Just to add to what VigilanteMax said, if your pre-wired then you just need the receiver/tuner kit and antenna, both of which I bought off courtesyparts.com but if you pull the truck lining down you should see a wire with a plug on it taped to the side of a black box, that wire plugs into the receiver.

word to the wise, activate outside, I did mine in the garage

I sent him a link to get it for 272 dollars. The dealer wanted 385 dollars.
