What is swappable on the Max?

Hey guys, I am an auto enthusiast that loves to custom everything I own. I am in the market for a Maxima but want to know what all is swappable. How much of the 350Z is swappable? I only ask because of all the upgrades I have seen from other users. +10 for the guy who swapped his front end to an 07, and to Max for that badass GTR upgrade. I am looking for the many options available for swapping. Thanks,

J

there is some stuff to customize on our cars, but its not like a civic where you can build one out of a parts catalog. its not a very modified car compared to other stuff in the tuner scene. you probably wont get into much more then rims, mild power mods (intake, and exhaust) maybe some exterior stuff like head lights or a spoiler swap.

The Altima SE-R sway bar is a direct bolt on as is the 350z rear calipers and rotors. The sway bar is 2mm thicker and makes a difference. The 350z rotors are vented, and the calipers are slighter larger. See my threads for both swaps for details.

The steering wheels can be swapped. I have a JDM 350Z steering wheel on my car but I lost the steering wheel functions - cruise, heat, radio controls - but I do have an airbag.

Some seat cushions from a 350z can be swapped but this is difficult and not a direct swap.

The brakes from a 300zx front can be fitted with adaptor brackets. But so can Ferrari brakes. It depends how much you want to spend. The 300zx brake swap is about a $400 swap, whereas the Ferrari brakes are about $8,000.

Spoilers - The G35 sedan spoiler fits as does an Accord spoiler (not sure which one). I have an OEM WRX spoiler on my car.

Does the SL come with a sway bar stock?

every car these days has a sway bar. it helps control body roll or "sway" during cornering. without one the car would flop around like a loose boob from side to side. do you mean a strut brace?

I'd say look around and you'll what we have done to our cars, are you looking for more cosmetic mods or mechanical mods? There has become a pretty extansive list of cosmetic mods: Front bumpers, tailights, hoods, spoilers, you can "swap" pretty much every light to LED (Pm me for info) wheels, suspension, exhaust, stereo....
