Illuminated Door Sills

I sat in a Porsche GT3 last night and noticed it had door sills that lit up. I found that Paradox sells this for the 5th Gen Maximas:

http://www.paradox-systems.com/produ...products_id=65

I thought the Porsche door sills looked really cool. The light was a nice white color, like a flourescent light. Anyone like this idea?

quite interesting. Im sure it would look ok in our cars and fit, however the "dot matrix" aqua blue color that came with the 00-03 doesnt work for me.

I saw those in person, but I don't believe they light up. Also, I didnt notice any thread on this topic in the 6th Gen forum here. Also, I was wondering about people's opinions, so even if it was posted here, which it wasn't, I was still looking for opinions as to the likability of this possible project.

The Mercedes CL550 has those standard in their cars. You can get it in white, blue, or purple LED. It looks really nice.

Ok ok ok ok guys you busted my surprise LOL. I saw somethin like that on an 08 Altima coupe couple weeks ago. I spoke to the guy that had it for almost 2 hours to convince him to make it for 6th gens. He took 2 door sills (front and back) from me to have it custom made for the 6th genners. That's something I've been working on for several weeks now. It won't only light up the "maxima" part of the sill... it'll also light up the straight line to the right & left of "maxima" in blue LED. I mentioned something about it on the other org, but wanted to be a surprise for you people LOL.... not anymore. They're almost done... just waiting on few minor details and we're set. Other than that, It's already been done and soon to be available for 6th genners. I'll let you guys know when I get mine back and post pics and prices on how it'll be.

I'm interested too.
It would be great if offered in more colours like red or orange.

I had two sets of the Paradox sills for my 5th GEN's and they were perfect, except one small problem - connectors got rusted during the first winter

It'll look pretty clean if someone used the original door sill. My 06 M35 has illuminating door sills. I don't really pay attention to them but it's nice knowing you have them

Like Outlawd said, the M35 has these and I found it pretty cool. I think it would take some playing around with on the Maxima to make it look good though. Gotta make it look OEM.
