2004 SE at 145,000. The repair list is lengthy and expensive. Glad I found this site, been doing a lot of repairs myself recently.

05 Max @ 220K miles (and runs like new) - do most maintenance myself

this year repl tie rods, sway bars, spark-plugs and new tires.

Still runs great as my DC. Uses almost 6.5 quarts of oil at 3500 miles. MPG is 24.1 (use seafoam every other full-up and oil change)

Plan to change factory struts/shocks. Pass fnt window acting up.

Origianal fluids: brake, steering and coolant

Right Drive axle

Third Cats and O2 sensors. Tranny brain and throttle body replaced last yr. Drill and sloted rotors. no rust/dings excellent body!

Fast (still is) and i love my max!!!!!

06 Max at 182k miles

Only issue I had is have to replace value body and all 6 coils. Looking to finally relace factory radio this year but afraid of having to lose my navi in the process

got mine in April this 2013 with 11K's. Yes it was in a front end collision and the owner was too cheap to fix it, so I bought it and brought her back to life

Just got an 05 with 47K from somebody's sweet grandma that passed away.

We have respectfully named the car after her....

Obviously she treated it well.

2007 SE... Only 59,500 miles. Just a few months short of owning her for 8 years. Still looks and drives like new... only problem is that the front end (mostly right side) is getting to have some of that characteristic clunkiness over small low-speed bumps.

I bought my 2006 maxima last summer (2013) 44,000 miles then. I have 49,000 miles now.

I had to clean out the sunroof drain tubes. Car runs great. Definite upgrade from my 1995 maxima (195,000 miles). I still love to drive the 1995.

Some people don't drive. When I bought my '99 se it had 50,000 miles and in a few months it had 8x,xxx miles. Guess I like the way maxipads drive and they're so cheap to run. It's like free driving.

Man..I likely story. I am about to have mine "rebuilt". It goes into safe mode.

I had the transmission replaced at about 50 K miles through the Nissan warranty. 188 K miles and a transmission rebuild and a new AC Compressor and hose are needed. ($3500.00).

So far:
  1. Struts/shock
  2. Alternator
  3. Valve cover gaskets
  4. Power steering pump/hose
  5. New brakes/rotors - 3 weeks ago.
  6. Both front window motors (Warranty Work)
  7. Oil Cooler replaced
My father has a 2001 Toyota Tundra (V8) with 110 K miles. I found it 3 weeks ago it's worth 2 times more than my Maxima. What a disappointment.

Better with Lunch

2005 max is currently at 211,000+ wife's daily driver. Not a problem until the last few months. Suddenly needed Cat. converter, work on the air/fuel end and recurring "check engine" light. Fingers crossed that all is finally nailed down and back to enjoying another drama free 5 years. I am seriously considering a cold air induction set up but haven't chosen the brand yet.

Drove it off the lot in 2005, now with 188K miles. Hoping to back it up with a smaller winter driver so I can flash the chip and see if I can get a few more ponies out of it.

Still going strong

Got to brag on my 2005 Maxima - now over 327,000 miles and running beautifully. Had to replace Cat converters at 260,000 and just had to replace alternator, radiator, and waiting on a motor mount. Steady 24 mpg and rides like a dream!

Yeah, your Max is quite deserving all right. You didn't mention anything about the tranny.

I want them miles. Have 232K.....several maintenance done. Only issue is the burning oil syndrome (adding a quart after 2K miles from oil change)...

High miles

Just turned 292k miles. Definitely burns oil.

What oil weight is recommended to switch to reduce oil burn? With other high mile cars I have run higher viscosity, but not sure how much is too much for this motor.

03 Max 122k miles on it. Just switched to thicker oil recommended by few people 20w-50 and recommended Royal Purple because my baby loves burning that oil.
