Low Beam replacement question

So my bulb burned out this morning and i go to autoparts and they tell me that I have a rare *** bulb that is 9012 halogen on my maxima. They were shocked how come i didnt have the HID d2s bulbs cuz apparently all Maximas in 2005 came with it.... go figure. Anyway, i dont have HID, i have halogen and i went to Ebay searching for 9012 and they got nothing! So i started digging and found out that supposedly 9012 is the same as 9006. Is it true? Please input, i need to replace that bulb asap cuz where i live, i will get pulled over for it. Thanks

You're going to have to go to the dealership. If you have a John Deere dealer, they supposedly have them as well. According to HID Planet, the part number at John Deere is AH211917.

dont buy it from ebay, go to the group deal and buy them from operatic, he has over 40 pages of positive feedback and plus he does overnight shipping...

if you're going to do the halogen 9012 replacement find a john deere dealer, they sell them for as little as 5 bucks. If not then you have to go to the dealer and spend like 60.
if you want to do the hid conversion definitely hit up the group buy with operatic. I have bought two sets for my max and my friends envoy, he'll work with ya for the best deal. I got the 6000k 55w digital.

The 9011 and 9012 HIR bulbs are available on Ebay from this seller: hir_headlights. They are high intensity halogen bulbs. You could upgrade to the 9011 for brighter headlights. By the way, you have to take off the front bumper cover and remove the headlight assembly to change the bulb.

The 2004 Maxima came with either HIR or HID (optional) headlights. The HIR uses the 9012 bulb for both high and low beam. The fog light uses H3 bulb.

You might want to click that thread in the sticky cause there is no data in there. I have the D2S Xenon and wanted to know the other bulb number in the 04 SL. I believe it is 9005.

d2s is an HID

Maximas came with 2 bulbs. d2s HID and 9012

9012 are high output halogens, actually the highests output you can get from a halogen. Thats why they run like $50 a piece. Its cheaper to buy an HID kit and bulbs off ebay and deal with it, then it is to replace 2 headlights.

d2s/9012

oh and "lowbeams" are your high beams... the projector housing tilts inorder to create "high beams"
