Carbon Fiber AT style Grill Poll

I'm working with a few people to come up with an aftermarket grill.
A few other people I've talked to aren't interested if I'd only have an initial order of 50 grills.

It Might, (stress the word might), be possible to get an active tuning style grill created in Carbon fiber for less than $300, maybe as low as $225.
Of course we all know w/ carbon fiber you could keep it as is or paint it later.
Who would be interested in one of these?
If I get enough interest, it might take about 2 months.

What do ya think?

i think thats a great idea. Just make sure they account for the bend in the current AT grille, if thats fixed I'm sure a few people (deus, jsmith, etc.) would be interested.

that would be nice. any insite for 2007-2008 maxima's?

as for price, i would say 175-200 is fair. anything over that is too much!

For example, the real active tunning grill is way over priced!!!

However it seems all carbon fiber mods for our maxima's are overpriced compared to other cars.

I agree with jsmith and 2leet, it sounds great if the pricing falls around 200-225 the most to my door.

I'm sending my grill off this week to have a mold made.

From my conversations, without seeing the actual piece to make the mold from, they were thinking the $250 range. Good quality powdercoated mesh will run at least $50.

We will see how it turns out.

As far as 07-08's, I'm looking to pick up a stock grill real cheap to start a fabrication on them.

$175-200 would be a good price, but you cant even find a finished product on the market for that now.
The cheapest I've seen are those china knock offs for $129 plus $40 shipping w/ cheap mesh and aren't even painted.
Here's a pic of one I did in black. Which is what I'll be styling it after.
(the zip tie is in there cause they had broken all the bottom holes in the bumper)

My 07-08 grill was made in china and was priced in the range. I must say that it looks and feels high quality... Have you seen pics in my grill thread. I recv'd alot of compliments on it. This guy called "CMod" on ebay and iTrade sells custom grills and resonable prices.

But if the cf grill is made in America, i guess that counts for something????

Hey if your looking for an 07-08 grill, i still have my stock one. How about we work out deal?
