Squeaky front end???

Now that its in the 40's in GA the front struts are squeaking even over small bumps. Its not a popping sound like Ive read in a previous post, its like a sqeaky rubber sound kinda like an unsturdy bed makes. At 3 years old and 50,000 miles is there a common bushing or rubber mount that is commonly suspect up front?

Just a shot but check where the struts and springs meet. Look for any metal on metal contact / worn rubber around there. If any, spray with wd40 or equivalent. See if the noise stops.

I have experienced this problem (noise) over the last three Midwestern winters and Nissan could not resolve the problem.

Recently, I needed an alignment and got the typical 4-wheel alignment. However, not at the Nissan dealer, but at a different shop called Mr.Tire, and the problem (noise) has not reoccurred. They used the Hunter alignment and wheel balancing system. Now all is well. When I got my alignment from Nissan the noise remained plus my wheels were never correctly balanced. This leads me to believe that the noise comes from some sort of misalignment which causes the suspension to react with the noises that we experience.

My car is doing the same. I'm in the process of replacing my shocks, endlinks and upgrading the sway bars. I'll eliminate that squeak eventually.

Thanks Shizzle. It sounds like a few of us would love to hear the remedy if you find it to the noise.

Every time this noise starts up, on my '07, I put 3 in 1 oil on the rubber grommets of the hood... Noise goes away.

This is after going through having Nissan check struts, etc... a year ago. After googling, for 6 months, found someone that suggested it was the hood's rubber grommets. Sure enough...
