Car search on Crutchfield won't give you the specs, it'll only tell you what speakers they carry that will fit...which isn't many. There is not a whole lot of room in the front doors because you have to allow for room for the window to roll down. If you use a 3/4 inch MDF/equivalent spacer, then you can almost fit any speaker in there that you want. If you call Crutchfield direct, they can give you the spacing measurement. If I recall correctly, the front doors only have around 1 3/8" depth...this is why the spacer is needed.

just space it out 3/4" inch and you'll be fine.

that's my 8" midbass i crammed into the front doors. i only spaced them out half an inch. so if you used a 3/4" mdf ring, you'll be fine.

nice choice. are you going to power them with a seperate amp? bostons are pretty power hungry from my experiences with them.

Get Infinity Kappa series they are Better in quality at half the price. Here is a side by side comparison from Crutchfield. http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/P...Items=108609CS Also if you have the Bose system you have to replace your head unit for any aftermarket speakers to work. If you buy the Infinity Kappa series speakers you will save over $600. That's enough for an Amp or a new head unit.

Oh yeah,I ordered an ED nine.2x.200 watts per side.I might be changing my mind on the Bostons.I came across a pair of JL C-5's for 200.00 brand new.I think the JL's would be a little more laid back for my music choices.

As far as Infinity goes Im not a real big fan of them.I always found the tweets to be a little on the bright or even a little harsh side.I do have the Bose system.I have a Pioneer F700BT thats waiting to go in.Im going to do it all at one time.Im still buying some stuff, but Im hoping within the next 30 days Ill have everything I need.

i would get the bostons over the kappas any day of the week.

200 bucks is a decent budget. send pearl96max a PM. tell him Gordon sent you and he'll hook you up with some audio gear. most of my gear i got from him. great man, and a customer service that's hard to beat.
