where to get Nissan Tranny Fluid

Hey Guys,
I wanted to flush my tranny soon, but I do not know where to get
the Nissan Matic K tranny fluid for my 04 SE 5A/T. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I'd use MOBIL 1 ATF..

I just had the dealer "flush my 05 auto transmission", which they charged me $170.00, but only replaced 4 quarts of K-fluid at $16/ quart. I will be doing this myself next time since the shop manual says to just drain and refill until clean. I found a new Mobil1 synthetic ATF for $8.00/ quart at AutoZone. Please read the link below to see it's compatable with our Nissans. Oh, by the way, does anyone know how to reprogram the TCU for this 5-speed auto trans. The constant shifting is driving me crazy.

The dealer is the only one that sells the "K" tranny fluid. Its 10 dollars a quart. I just did a drain and fill. I only needed 4 quarts. I have one quart extra just in case.

go with Royal Purple. The price is better and the quality IMO is better. You can pick it up in just about any auto store. Even the Nissan Dealer has it. here is the link. http://www.royalpurple.com/transmission-chart.html

My 06 is at 25,000 miles right now and i'm thinking of changing the tranny fluid also. Some local shop wanted from $40 to $150 to drain and fill. I forgot to ask if they will also change the filter with that price. Any one used MAX ATF in there Max?

Call several dealers and see who sells it for the least, I found it online but with shipping prices it was not worth it.

Faust usually post on the 6thGen Forum but awhile back he listed several synthetics that can now be used

I use their engine oil and filter and have had no problems with the last 4 changes. I don't know about their tranny fluid. I still will use the Nissan fluid till I see some results.

BTW Max ATF is not recommended for use in any CVT

Good point but I don't think any aftermarket fluid is recommended for any CVT, mot just Nissan

Why would Nissan recomend any other fluid but their own? Financially they would be shooting off their foot if they did. Aftermarket lubricants are available to suit CVTs. If you need help finding one, drop me a PM.
