05 Maxima "youtube" exhaust

Finally I can start threads! I bought an 04 and its the same story...I wanna make it sound better. I watched the Cattman, Greddy, Nismo, Magnaflow etc. videos on youtube, most are pretty expensive besides maybe the magnaflow mufflers. I saw these clips and just wanted to know what u guyz think...

this is what the first dude said on the description

Removed stock resonator and mufflers. Replaced resonator with Dynomax racing bullet muffler. It has a straight flow thru design. Rectangle tips on the end instead of mufflers. Basically a flow through exhaust. How ever the clearance crimp is still there but we came to the conclusion that it does not restrict anything. $360 for parts and labor. I cannot afford a catback so I did it this way. Not for everyone but I like it.

What exactly does he mean by "straight flow thru" design? Can u just go to a Muffler shop and tell them to custom make it? $360 parts & labor seems hard to believe...

Well that ends up costing me like $600 after taxes/duties/converting from CANADIAN to USD.

Man not another exhaust thread That first vid is too loud. You are gonna get killed with the interior drone, trust me. That straight flow thru design is just fancy jargon for a round muffler.

Just go to the thread below and most of your questions will be answered

Still cheaper than all the others ,unless you replace your stock mufflers with magnaflows andthen redo the Bpipe with 2.5 pipin should sound good..

Couple questions for 2theMaX05:
1)Did u feel any quality issues with the ebay exhaust?
2)Did u use the tips that come with it? the oval ones.
3)How was the sound quality? *thats my main question*
4)Was there any drone?
5)And also do u have any pics or videos?

they both sound good, the first one is a little louder though. i think the 3.5 sounds good with almost any exhaust.

I like the first one. I think those rectangle tips fit perfectly with our cars bumper. Sound deep and strong. $360 for two mufflers and a resonator and install seems like a good price to me.

Thats the same reason I like them. The rectangular tips look awesome and sound good too. First time I've seen our cars with rectangular tips. Wonder if anyone else has rectangular tips on their 6th gen...
