Annoying rear rattle (not a question)

I have seen threads before where people, including me, have complained about the rattle that comes from the rear deck. It is dissapointing to me that my high quality "BOSE" stereo in my 04 doesnt sound as tight as the sound in my fiance's non-bose 05. So that being said I wanted to share the solution that worked for me. I originally just wanted to dynamat the car so that my subs would be tighter and I would have no rattles. But in doing so I found that 80-90% of the rattle comes from the stupid 3rd brake light. This isn't new info but this is my fix. (i took pics while doing the dynamat if anyone is interested but its pretty self explanitory.)

The first pic has two layers and you could probably put more but this did the trick . In pic two I wrapped two layers around the center support and then put two layers on either side to make sure it fits in tight.

I thought the rattle was caused by the light itself rattling against the windshield which many were able to fix using small silicone bumps found at Home depot in hardware section.

The concept in theory may be the same, just securing it one way towards the other, either way it seems to work. Good info though.
