My first service engine soon code-P0443

Like I don't have enough things going on, all I needed is another headache. The timing couldn't be more perfect because my car is due to be inspected this month. I was driving home when the light came on. I had the time so I just we straight ahead to the dealership to have it checked out.

Diagnosis: P0443, something that has to do with the evaporative emission canister purge valve.

Correction: Had to reprogram the ECM. I was talking to the mech and the service guy and there is a recall concerning this code which I did not know about. Basically the tolerances that was set by Nissan was too narrow and this causes the code. The ECM (electronic control module) had to be reprogram to widen the range. The mech also said that Pathfinders are also throwing this code. No other problems detected.

Cost: 0,zip,nada. I just lost 1.5 hrs. of my time stressing out really bad.
Oh yeah, I drive an 08 with 16.9k on it.

Your still under warranty...You'll be treated like royalty compared to what the 04/05's have to deal with

Code P0443 Maxima 1995 - one piston does not work

Ok, my car started shaking the other day and I thought that it was one of the ignition coils, so I disconnected and connected all of them one by one with the car running to find out witch one was giving me the problem, and when I disconnected the one next to the oil cap (on top of the engine-under the plastic MAXIMA 16Valve plastic cover) nothing happened, the car did not shake more or twitch more, so I figure that that was the bad guy; (dumm, I should have taken another coil and put it in that place to find out if that was the real problem).

But I didn’t; so, I order the ignition coil to discover that that is not the problem; I now think that it might be the injector. so I am going for the injector now, any ideas?

After clearing the computer I get P0443 code only. Maybe I didn’t let the engine run a sufficient time to get another code.

thanks guys

I replace the injector #6 and now #3 broke too, so I have to take the maniful to replace it and I am gonna do all three of them just in case. However I would like to know if I have to change something related to this code: P0443, while I am at it.

Thanks guys

Ok, this is what I found, what a surprise, no wonder why my car spends so much gas.
