How fast is your tranny to downshift?

Sometimes, when I floor the pedal, it takes a few seconds for the tranny to realize that I floored it and it just tries to rev a bit, and then it downshifts, and then it revs. Is a it a sign of a dying tranny or all max trannys are like that? I feel like its not responsive enough, like it lags a bit.

Flooring it never worked for me so I don't do it. Learn the gears and how it shifts and work with it. I use manual mode a lot since it lets you throw into manual mode and back to drive at any speed. Disconnect the battery for over an hour and then go floor it and see what happens. I think it learns your driving habit from the start.

Any mods? Tuning would fix all of this.

How many threads you gonna start, I thought you mentioned several times your trans is on the way out, finish it off, drain the fluid out of it, store it in a bottle and drive the car, it's that simple, pour it back in after the trans blows up.

Tranny

Thats what exactly happened to my 05. Found tranny fluid burnt. Took to dealer to change oil. Found shavings in the tranny oil. Tranny was on the way out. Lucky I had 400 miles left on my power trane warranty. Got it replaced and now I'm good hopefully for another 60,000 miles. B4 then I better get a new vehicle...

Hey, Starr

Give the guy a break! His threads are way better than, "Here's some pics of my dirty Max..." or, "I spilled Coke in my cup holders, so what should I do?," or, "Today I drove over a toothpaste tube and now my tire tread is all white." (But, I admire your memory for the posts of others...)

My engine is too noisy at low speeds and hear kind of groaning soud, and when I quicky slow down from high speed then I can hear the noise while my tranny shifting gears which can clearly feel and hear, is it a sign of tranny failure??, new to this forum so my apologies if I am not so technical.

Children, it is now time to put all this to rest, forget about it, and get on with your so-called lives.
