Okay narrowing down my used car purchase to an 07 or 06 maxima..


Q1 My question is which of the 2 factory steros can play MP3 CDs?? or can they both do it..

Q2 Also Does anyone have a picture of the 2007 with a navigation system installed, i don't know if you can add it at the factory it looks like with the 2006 a Nav system will fit nicely into that big square above he radio but the 07 doesn't look like it has the space for a nav system anyone have pictures of a Nav system in the 07???

ok, having purchased the 07, i'm going to say get the 07 b/c all those other things you mentioned can be installed in the car. The 07 is better quality wise and by then had most of the bugs worked out from the previous years. Even if it doesnt play MP3s, who cares? You can always upgrade the stereo anyway and add navigation. And it does have the space for it, people are installing the 7 inch LCD touch screen units all the time. You dont want factory Nav anyway, you are limited to what you can upgrade.

Anyone else can chime in and correct me if i'm wrong.

go for the 07 model.... my 08 plays MP3 CD's. It also comes with an AUX input for your Ipod or Zune. It also has bluetooth capability.

So with or without Nav on an 07, you still get some cool features.

I have an 08. Bluetooth isn't stock, but you will be able to play MP3s and have an AUX in on the 07.

On top of that, you'll get the better body style.

My 07 has the bluetooth and plays MP3's I have used the ipod aux thing and wasnt really a fan. But its no different then putting 100 songs on a MP3 CD. My cardomain has some pics of the stock nav.

Definitely go for the 07. But know that only the Bose or Nav type system will play MP3 and WMA CD's. The stock non-Bose system will not.
