Battery Died. Gas Gauge malfunction.

I have 2008 maxima 15,000 miles and today when I woke up the battery was completely dead. Called Nissan service and had AAA out to give me a boast. After the boast car started nicely but after turning of the engine and trying to start it again the batter was dead again. He boasted it for a second time and I took it straight to the dealer (stealership). First he said this fujita cold air can void your warranty and this alarm also can void your warranty. I said to him Nissan installed my alarm and he said so it’s still after market. I said I had it installed at purchased. Then I went on to tell him what a Fujita CAI has to do with a battery going completely dead. He had no answer. Long story short I got my replacement battery free. I know I should have spent my money and bought an optima battery red top but didn’t want to spend the kind of cash LOL, and plus I wanted a free battery since I am still under warranty. When I got my car back the gas needle was on the other side of the stopper. They had to take my car back again and open up the dash cluster and manually fix it pushing it back to the other side after he realized it wasn’t the fuse. Point of my post is just to say OEM battery sucks. What battery are you guys replacing OEM with? Anyone else had this happened to Their Fuel gauge?

Thanx for your contribution to this thread ubers. I highly doubt this helped in figuring out why tallblazer124's battery died.

When you took it in did Nissan check the electrical circuit for shorts or grounds that might be draining the battery?

Yup thats the point of my post. OEM battery is terrible. I also wanted to know was it worth them replacing it under warranty or was a better off buying one on my own. Also has anyone else experince the Gas Gauge Malfunction when the needle got stock on the other side with a dead battery.
