CHeapest Place to get HID Bulbs and Where are the High Beams

Two questions...

1) Where are the cheapest place to get HID headlight bulbs? Many have mentioned ebay but I am curious if they quality of the bulbs are as good as OEM.

2) Are there separate high/low beam bulbs on a 2005 Maxima. From the outside front of the car, it appears the lows and highs are in the same unit.

Thanks,

JB

Same bulb for low and high. Group deal section has several HID bulb sellers. I bought some from them before.

Dont buy ebay lights, because, you get what you pay for..

Yea the high is the same bulb, just when you flip the highbeam switch a peice moves in the housing releasing more light.

Zenon/HID equipped cars:
low beam-D2S
high beam-9012

I don't see how 2 bulbs are the same bulb, someone please explain, I figured it out, non HID models have 9012 for low and high

Must be a mistake, unless 9012 = D2S
04-06 Maximas with OEM hid's use D2S only for low beam and high beam. There is a plastic shutter inside the housing that lifts up revealing more light bulb when you flick the high beams on. The OEM fog lights are H3 bulbs.

There is no separate high beam in the 6th gen. The single projector handles low beam and high beam.

If you have factory halogen, it's a 9012 HIR.

If you have factory xenon, it's a D2S HID.

Now, as for fogs, the 04-06 use H3, while 07-08 uses H11.
