Finally fixing my timing chain tensioner problem

So i took it to nissan a couple months ago when it started the guy tried to say it was a normall sound and nothigns wrong. i knew something was wrong. So i went back asked for a tech to just look at it outside and listen so they sent a tech out he knew what was wrong. i asked the tech if he wanted side work and he was like yeah ill do it heres my number. Anyway hes doing the timing chain, master and slave cylinder to fix the clutch losing pressure, and other belts on car, changing fluids. Hes charging me 1000 in labor for everything but i think hell do it cheaper im gonna ask tonight when i drop it off and he ordered parts at cost for me. nissan said its a 1 week job which would cost 2900 to do and would mean i need a rental. he said drop it off to me friday ill have it done sunday afternoon which means no rental. oh yeah im just south of philly, pa if anyone needs something ill ask him.

I have to bookmark this thread since I'm in South Jersey only about 15 miles from Philly.

And I have a 02 SE with 93K on the original timing tensioners and figure it's only a matter of time.

This guy may be a good find for all of us in the area.

He can make a few bucks and save us some.

Let us know how well he works out.

he did the chain, tensioners, master and slave cylinders, belts, and water pump and was 900 in labor which is pretty cheap. parts he gave me at cost. nissan wanted 2600 for just the tensioner and parts at retail for that problem are only like 100 bucks

My 05 max has 34k miles on it. It makes a slight metallic rattling noices under light load as I am accelerating. It will not do this in Nuetral so it is hard to pinpoint the noise....I was wondering if this was the issue?

Don't think so... sounds like the heat shield issue underneath the car on the exhaust.
