GTR Bumper
GTR Bumper
Going to be ordering the GTR bumper soon so I wanted to get some opinions on the lights, so I Photoshoped a pic of my car with the bumper on it, going to look sick, not to mention I think I will be the first red Max with one. Anyway I am working on some custom LEDs and would like to arrange them like I have in the pic. Let me know what you think.
Im not a fan of bodykits so feel free to ignore my comment BUT i dont think u should do it. Because once you get the front bumper ull need skirts and rear bumper too so it would flow, then u'd need rims etc etc .. its a never ending process that you gonna drop boats load of money into and in the end of the day gonna end up taking everything off when you gonna be selling the car cuz believe me, none of this stuff will add value.
I speak from personal experience, i had a bone stock 97 accord. bought a CF hood for it first, then body kit, then rims, then i had it lowered, then it wasnt fast enough so I spend 17k on the car, and put 10 more into it during the 5 years i had it. 130k later i sold the car for 4 grand... cuz thats all it was worth... so where is the fairness in that?

Joe: The GTR bumper will look sharp, but I dont like the way your LEDs are curved. I think they look best if placed on the bottom, kind of like the Audi R8. Photochop that and see what you think

Car will look pretty sweet with the bumper on it.... don't know about the placement of the LED's IMO the first location looked better then the second, but to each his own.... Might be time to go aftermarket with the grill
Car will look fine with the GTR bumper stock side skirts and stock rear...

Wow you are really good with photoshop, as that looks darn real. I like the GTR bumper and the grill. I do not think the side skirts would add much and it probably will flow with the GTR bumper. I dont know about the LED's up high. I like the guy who put them lower on the fog lights. Just for kicks, I like the LED's in a straightline. Check out this pic. Maybe a little too knightrider-esque? lol

130K into an Accord... LMAO i hope that's a typo... If i put that much money into a car, guarantee i'll make at least a quarter of it back in car shows... I raise the BS flag...
Where did i put that thing

Value is in the pride of ownership which ur right doesn't count for much at the stealership, however

Lol No u misunderstood me... 130k later was not refering to money, i was referring to mileage on the car.
I bought the car for 17, dropped 10 grand into it and drove it for 5 years. Rolled 130,000 miles on it and sold it for $4,000.
And yes it was a really sweet, fast ride but now that i got older and a bit smarter I wouldn't have spend 10 grand on that car so I regret doing it.
you will probably have to modify the bumper....the lights look tacky....the bucktooth needs to go...and the SER really needs to go....i think your headlights need work before anything tho

you need to get rid of the nissan block in the grill..keep the SE-R, but keep that black grill across.
Led's are kinda bleh. I would find a better spot or something, I'm not really feeling that. I like the idea but chop something better.
GTR bumper for after market seems ok, def go with it if you're feeling it.
Just my .02 have fun man

Quote: Wow, tough one... modify the bumper, what do you mean?
I think what he means is youll need to sharpen up some of the lines on the bumper.
the kit itself fits great, Probably the best Ive ever seen, but the lines are a little rounded compared to stock. nothing a little bodywork cant fix and its well worth it.

You've already got angel eyes, so if you try to ALSO do LEDs, it won't look right. Do angel eyes, or do LEDs, but don't do both, it will look terrible. And if you do decide to get LEDs, do them right. Research them, solder them up yourself, make it very nice. Don't just get a $5 ebay light strip and tape it to the front of an otherwise nice looking car.
