Anyone know it there are aftermarket strut mounts or Top bearing plates that are available?

I know that KYB makes a set however I've been told to stay clear of them.
Monroe, Moog and Raybestos make a replacement part however I'm not sure if these parts are any good. I found them on RockAuto's web-site.
The Monroe part is 906914, the Raybestos part is 5201200 and they cost about $30 ea...Moog K90655 is a big pricier at $40 ea.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Only advice I can give is that I've used Moog parts for several years and I have found them, to be about the best.

Much heavier than OEM and better designed.

Their swaybar links are great and usually have grease fittings fort longer life.

Your car has both fronts and rearts. While you are doing teh struts I would replace the links and bushings too.

Hope this helps.

Hi fflint_18

Thanks for the response...actually every front component was replaced on this car since the end of April! Both springs (one broke after a pot hole! - Eibach Pro kit one - pair replaced by Eibach at no charge) both KYB GR2's, Bushings, sway bar, end links, Tie rods. And just last week the rack and pinion steering was completely replaced. The top bearing plates were done in May and are still making a fair bit or noise though! The car is closing in on 5 years and has 130k Kms or about 78K Miles...of which 80% is highway!

I always thought that KYB made great stuff, but I've never used any of their parts. What did you hear about their struts for Mazimas? Are there any alternatives?

My car has been on KYB GR2's for about 3 years now with almost no problems...except our pot holes here in Montreal....If I were to do it again, I would go with KYB AGX adjustable shocks so that you can dial your ride.

Hey VigilanteMax, who would you recommend to buy the moog from?

Cheers!
