And the ceramic brake pads?

Slotted is preferred over drilled. Drilling can lead to cracks. Very few manufacturers cast drill their rotors. Drilling causes microfissures which expand and contract due to heat and propagate into cracks. Both alleviate pressure build up under the pad allowing for more clamping force, but slotting is more street friendly.Originally Posted by slick101

The guys above are right. For a street car if you want good stopping power with less fade go for slotted.
I use Hawk rotors and Pads. They've been great. But recentl;y my right front is squealing a little when you first step on them and it's driving me crazy. trying to figure out what to do.
But remember that slotted rotors do however make more dust and your pads wear out a lilttle faster than with a standard blanks.

Baer rotors are nice and depending on what one you get are fairly inexpensive like Brembos. As far as pads I'd Go axxis or EBC greens or redstuff only!!! goodluck

I have had my rotors slotted and drilled for about 4 years now with no problem. Bought them off ebay. I know I am an ebayaholic. Most frown upon ebay but a company has to start somewhere and well I made sure the company selling them knew what they were talking about before I purchased.

I just ordered from brakemasters on ebay and put them on Friday.
Pretty good quality I think compared to OEM. These were for my G35 though, and I bought drilled/slotted.
- 1 year warranty against warping
- Lifetime warranty against cracking
They were only $190 shipped, so not too bad. Only thing is they're already showing rust from rain, not sure if RotorPros is the same.

They shouldn't rust overnight, but if you leave any car sit for a couple days they will rust up. Stock rotors as well

On the topic of brakes, I was also looking at the RotorPro's / slotted for my 07. the Rototrpros only list them for being for an '08-'09. Any idea if they will fit?
As for the rusting, does the zinc coating help this?

qft. Get the RotorPro Rotors with good pads, Honestly, The HawkHPS are ****ty pads, theyre loud and produce alot of break dust imo.Originally Posted by redmaxpa007

They do stop really well tho. As for RP rotors, my look almost brand new still, been on the car for over a year.

I was informed by my local dealer that Nissan covered it for the first 12k miles. I had 13k at the time but they still turned the rotors at no cost. At 28k miles now with no problems.Originally Posted by coolsun

I requested info on a full set of rotors from rotorpros, front and rear. Has anyone tried them with the EBC GreenStuff pads? If so, how did they perform together?

Everyone's talking about drilled and slotted but what's wrong with blanks with everyday use?
If you want stopping power get better brake pads.
