need a little advice

need a little advice

ok im close to closing the deal on a 05 max, im getting it for like 4 grand under blue book so im getting a great deal, its got leather seats but no heated seats. my question is how hard is it to install heated seats down the road if i decide i want to put them in?

easy to do might cost a few dollars for good installation though. If you know what you are doing you could do it yourself though. They make universal heated seat inserts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WCbLEV0srI

sounds extremely complicated so i guess ill have to live without or find a shop that can do it for me

you wont use them that much to be honest...i live in minnesota and i hardly use mine - spend your money elsewhere

haha good point. suppose i could always use the cash towards a new billet grill stereo or rims i plan on putting on it.

Not to sure how hard a retro fit would be, probably just replace the whole seat and add a switch from a totaled vehicle would be easiest.

I gotta disagree with Stormz though, I use my heated seats all the time in the winter. I love em.

leather seats that aren't heated? Didn't even know they offered it like that. my 92 lexus had them....are you sure? Seems kinda odd, because the heated seats not only keep your *** warm from cold leather (not a good feeling) but they also help pro-long the life of the leather.

On the max they are kinda hidden compared to most cars. Hiding on the front part of the console storage. Check there... Im honestly very surprised to see that you have factory leather without heaters

actually i think the guy said the leather came after the previous owner bought it. and it doesnt even have the pre-cut and covered holes for switches.

good leather installs look factory. Sometimes they even look better than factory.

oh yes the leather does look really really pristine. if it didnt i wouldnt be in the process of purchasing it.
